Pillar 01: A structured weekly class built around real Mexican situations.

Every Saturday, Daniela delivers a complete class, either live at Zona Río or as a curated video for online members. Every lesson is built around a situation you will face in Mexico: renting a flat, talking to a pharmacist, navigating a phone call, ordering the right way. Not Chapter 7. The situations that actually come up.

Pillar 02: Real conversation audios recorded in Tijuana by native teachers.

Every week you receive exclusive audio content recorded in real Tijuana environments, a market negotiation, a landlord call, a restaurant order, a pharmacy visit. Meet Daniela Barrera

Daniela is not a language instructor who came up with a course. She is a Tijuana native who spent over eight years studying why some students make real progress and others plateau, and built a method specifically designed to close that gap.

Her insight is deceptively simple: the fastest path to Spanish is a teacher who understands your native language well enough to anticipate where you will struggle — and a city that forces you to use what you are learning before you feel ready. Tijuana is the only place in the world that gives you both at once. That is why CAD exists here, and not anywhere else.

Who is this program designed for?

Adults starting from zero or close to zero who want to reach basic to intermediate conversational Spanish in six months. People who have tried apps, YouTube, or generic classes and never actually started speaking. Professionals near the San Diego border, international students, and anyone who wants real instruction from a native teacher, in a real Mexican city or delivered weekly to wherever they are.

What exactly do online students receive each week?

After every Saturday session, Daniela puts together a curated package specifically for online students: a video walkthrough of everything taught that day with all activities and explanations, the same vocabulary sheets and worksheets as the in person group, and any extra notes for that week’s material. This is not a raw recording. It is a deliberate, standalone class built for someone who was not in the room.

How many people are in each group?

In Person sessions are kept intentionally small so Daniela can give real attention to each student and adapt in real time. This is not a lecture, it is a guided group session where everyone participates and every voice gets heard.

What are the monthly bilingual practice events?

Once a month, the group attends a four-hour session focused entirely on conversation with bilingual locals from the CAD community. In Person members have a reserved seat. Online members are welcome when they can make it in person. These are not tests or structured lessons, they are real, relaxed conversations that show you exactly how much you have improved since last month.

What happens at the month-two check-in?

A one-on-one conversation with Daniela where she reviews your progress honestly and you decide together how to spend months four through six. Continue with the group or move to private sessions. No pressure in either direction, just an honest conversation with someone who has been watching you learn for two months.

How does the referral work?

Tell someone about the program. Have them write your name when they fill the form. If they win any of the three giveaway prizes at the first session, you win the exact same prize. First place wins you both a free month. Second place wins you both two private sessions with Daniela. Third place wins you both a personal strategy session. Both people must be registered before the first class.

What Spanish will I learn?

Mexican Spanish, specifically the Tijuana variety, the most widely spoken form of Spanish in North of Mexico, but of course, we will work through different dialects to spot differences in case you adventure yourself through other Spanish speaking countries. But the Spanish of Tijuana is the most practical for anyone near the border, working with Mexican colleagues, or spending time in Mexico. Our teachers are native Tijuana speakers who have been teaching professionally for years. Not Spain Spanish. Not slow, textbook Spanish. The real version that comes out of people’s mouths here.
